The operational offices of the Festival della Piana del Cavaliere Association are located on the ground floor of Palazzo Negroni, in the Fondazione Centro Studi “Città di Orvieto” office, Piazza Corsica, 2 – 05018 Orvieto (TR).
From the A1 “Autostrada del Sole” exit directly at the Orvieto tollgate and then follow the indications for the city centre, which is about 4.5 km from the tollgate. The city of Orvieto is about an hour’s drive from Rome and 1h40 minutes from Florence, while it is 1 hour from Terni and Perugia.
Orvieto is located on the Rome-Florence-Milan railway line so it can be easily reached by train.
By bus or coach
The main point of departure for buses is Piazza Matteotti, in Orvieto Scalo (the square where the railway station and the funicular are).
From Orvieto Scalo to the historical city centre
The funicular stations are located in Orvieto Scalo in Piazza Matteotti (same as the Orvieto train station) and in Orvieto Centro in Piazza Cahen. With the funicular, you arrive from the Scalo to the centre of Orvieto in a few minutes. Buses and minibuses that stop in the main squares and streets of the city depart from the funicular station.
The funicular runs every 10 minutes (15 on holidays); on weekdays, it is open from 7:15 to 20:30 while on holidays it is open from 8:00 to 20:30.
